Cardiff University Awarded for World Class Research Building
Cardiff University’s Brain Research Imaging Centre (CUBRIC) has been named Life Science Research Building 2017, one of many prestigious awards it has won since its royal opening in March 2016.
The £44m centre received the highly acclaimed and international S-Lab Award at this year’s annual UK Science Park Association (UKSPA)/ S-Labs conference, beating an international shortlist of high-end research facilities.

Cardiff University Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Karen Holford said: “It’s a great honour for Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre to pick up a significant award like this.”

The multi-award winning building was built by BAM Construction and was officially opened by Her Majesty The Queen in March, 2016.
